As Above So Below

As Above So Below

$299.00

On a some level, this piece is an homage to M.C. Escher - whose work I admire deeply. I’m happy with the balance of juxtapositions: bright neon with soft darkness, geometric with organic, and sculptural forms with realistic hands.

This piece explores the idea that the inner world and the outer world are mirrors of each other. The hands are a loose reference to Michelangelo's Creation of Adam, that charged moment where connection is almost made. Here, the gesture repeats itself above and below, suggesting that what we seek in the heavens is also formed within us.

It is a study of light, balance, and reflection. Fluorescent paint is used to create a soft glow, shifting with the environment and reinforcing the idea of energy moving between realms.

A reminder that reaching for the stars often begins with reaching inward.
