This work is a reimagining of one of my very first pieces, created the summer after architecture school. Drawing from architectural ornament, sacred geometry, and op art - I mixed stains to craft custom hues for each layer, forming a subtle gradient that leads the eye into the embedded mirror - a quiet portal reflecting both space and self. Handcrafted with intention, Iris is truly a work of love and labor, designed to hold presence the way classical forms anchor temples and cathedrals. Like all sculptures, it reveals its depth and feel in person, and I’ll keep exploring ways to share that through these videos.

The work definitely elevates a space, and the mirror makes the piece more interactive. Super happy with how this turned out, hope you are too!

So far this is a one-off, but I might try a cool tone version in the future.
