This artwork is an exploration of landscape and geometry - and a homage to Casper David Friedrich's iconic "Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog," a painting that has always deeply resonated with me. I'm trying to capture a feeling rather than just a place, evoking that sense of wonder and connection to the natural world.
I used forced perspective, optical illusions, and traditional oil painting techniques to encourage the viewer to wander through the piece, finding little details or mysteries. Like a hike deep in the woods but without all the walking.
